The Railriders continued their homestand as they started a three game set with the Indianapolis Indians. Daniel Camarena got the start for the Railriders. The Indians sent Steven Brault to the mound. Chris Bostick led off with a ground-rule double to right. Camarena would get Max Moroff to popout and Austin Meadows to strike out but Elias Diaz drove home Bostick for a 1-0 Indians lead. A flyout would end the inning. Dustin Fowler drew a one out walk. After a strikeout, Elias Diaz would throw out Fowler at second trying to steal for the third out. Erich Weiss would hit a one out triple to center. After a flyout, Eury Perez would bring home Weiss on an RBI triple for a 2-0 Indians lead. Chris Bostick would bring in Perez on a grounder and would reach on an error. Max Moroff walked but a flyout would get out of the inning. Ji-Man Choi leads off with a single to right. After a strikeout, Ruben Tejada would hit a two run homer to right to cut the Indians lead to 3-2. Cito Culver would then single but Billy Fleming would line into a double play. Camarena threw a 1-2-3 frame in the third. Mason Williams would single to center with one out, then Dustin Fowler drew a walk. After a flyout to right, Ji-Man Choi brought home Williams on an RBI single for a 3-3 tie. A groundout would end the inning. Eury Perez hit a two out single to center but on the next batter, Camarena would pick off Perez at second for the third out. Ruben Tejada and Cito Culver would each draw walks. Culver would be forced out at second, and Brault would get a pop up and a ground to get out of the jam. Camarena would strike out the side the fifth. Fowler led off with a triple to right then Clint Frazier would hit a sacrifice fly in foul territory to score Fowler for a 4-3 Railriders lead. After a strikeout, Rob Refsnyder would single to right, then the Indians would bring in Brett McKinney in relief and would get a flyout to end the inning. Camarena once again threw a 1-2-3 inning. Angel Sanchez came in to pitch the sixth for the Indians. Billy Fleming had his first hit in Triple-A, which was a one out ground-rule double to left center. Eddy Rodriguez would score Fleming on an RBI Double to make it 5-3 Railriders. Rodriguez would advance to third on a Balk. After a strikeout, Fowler brought in Rodriguez on an RBI single to make it 6-3. A strikeout would end the inning. Giovanny Gallegos would come in for the seventh for the Railriders and would throw a 1-2-3 inning to keep the three run lead. Dovydas Neverauskas came in for the seventh for the Indians. Refsnyder would hit a double to center but would be out trying to go to third. A lineout would end the inning. Chris Bostick would lead off with a single to center, but Gallegos would retire the next three batters to end the eighth. Dan Runzler came in for the Indians in the eighth. Cito Culver hit a leadoff double to right and would move to third on a grounder and Fleming would reach on an error. Runzler would get a strikeout and a 6-3 double play to end the inning. Ernesto Frieri came in to pitch for the save in the ninth for the Railriders. Weiss would hit a single to right to keep the game alive but Frieri would get Danny Ortiz to strike out to get the save as the Railriders took their third straight game 6-3 over the Indians.
Thoughts on the game: Early on, it looked like Indianapolis could roll to a easy victory. However the Railriders got going as they scored two in the second then tied it in the third. Took the lead in the fifth and then two more for insurance in the sixth inning.
