Deep Goes Frazier!!

The Railriders looked to get their second straight victory over Indianapolis. The Indians went with Josh Lindblom. The Railriders earlier in the day brought up Daniel Camarena from Double-A Trenton for the start. Tyler Wade led off with a walk. Following a flyout, Dustin Fowler singled to right to move Wade to second but a flyout and a popout kept the Railriders off the board. Camarena threw a 1-2-3 first for the Railriders. Lindblom threw a 1-2-3 second to keep the game scoreless. Camarena threw his second consecutive 1-2-3 inning for the Railriders. With two outs, Clint Frazier hit a home run to left for a 1-0 Railriders lead. On the next at-bat, Dustin Fowler singled to left but the top half of the third ended with a flyout to left. Jacob Stallings led off with a single to center, but Camarena induced a 6-3 double play for the first two outs then he got Anderson Feliz to flyout to center for the third out. Ji-Man Choi would double to right to lead off the top of the fourth, but Lindblom would retire the next three batters to keep it a one run deficit. Chris Bostick singled to lead off the bottom half of the fourth but got the next three batters out to end the fourth with the Indians still off the scoreboard. Eddy Rodriguez singled to left to lead off the fifth. Following a popup, Frazier would draw a walk. Lindblom got Fowler to popout for the second out but Rob Refsnyder would draw a walk to load the bases, but Lindblom got Choi to strike out the end the threat with no damage. Camarena threw a 1-2-3 fifth to keep the Indians once again off the scoreboard. Lindblom threw a 1-2-3 sixth to keep the Railriders to one run. Camarena threw a 1-2-3 sixth for another scoreless inning. Angel Sanchez came in for the seventh for the Indians. Clint Frazier singled to right with two outs but a popout ended the top of the seventh. Austin Meadows hit an infield single and Tyler Jones came in to pitch for the Railriders. Meadows would steal second, then Jason Rogers walks but Jones would get Eric Wood to fly out and Joey Terdoslavich to strike out to end the seventh. Refsnyder would lead off the eighth with an infield single, but he would be forced out at second and Sanchez would get the next two batters out to keep it 1-0. Jones would strike out the side to keep the Indians off the board. Dovydas Neverauskas came in to pitch the ninth for the Indians. Neverauskas threw a 1-2-3 ninth to give the Indians a chance to tie or walk it off in the ninth. Ernesto Frieri came in for the save in the ninth for the Railriders. Frieri would throw a 1-2-3 ninth as the Railriders won a second consecutive 1-0 game.

Thoughts on the game: Well, another 1-0 game. Pitching was great once again on both sides. More impressive by Daniel Camarena, who was just called up from Double-A Trenton today to make the start, striking out five and not walking a batter.

Up Next: The Railriders conclude their three set in Indianapolis. Brady Lail takes on Drew Hutchison. Gametime is at 1:35 PM.

News: Daniel Camarena was called up today from Double-A Trenton to make the start. To make room, the Railriders optioned JR Graham to Trenton.
