The Syracuse Chiefs and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Railriders played the finale of their four game series on Sunday afternoon. It was the Railriders' Chad Green vs the Chiefs Taylor Hill. Scott Sizemore and Matt Skole each hit two-out singles but a forceout ended the top of the first. Aaron Judge hit a one out single and advanced to second on a passed ball then Rob Refsnyder singled home Judge for a 1-0 Railriders lead. Refsnyder would advance to second on a stolen base but a strikeout ended the inning. Brian Goodwin hit a one out single to center, would be out at second on a forceout and then another forceout ended the inning. Pete Kozma hit a two out single to center but a bunt pop up ended the inning. Tony Campana singled to center with one out but Green would strikeout Sizemore and Matt Skole would fly out to left. Hill threw a 1-2-3 bottom of the 3rd. Jason Martinson led off the top of the 4th but would be erased on a 6-4-3 double play and then a flyout ended the inning. Hill retired the side in order in the 4th to retire 6 straight. Caleb Ramsey hit a one out single to left and then Tony Campana hit a two out single to left to move Ramsey to second but a ground out ended the threat. Hill made it 9 straight retired with another 1-2-3 inning. Green threw a 1-2-3 6th to keep the Railriders lead. Hill made it 12 with a 1-2-3 6th. Luis Cessa came in to pitch the 7th for the Railriders. Brian Goodwin led off the top of the 7th with a triple to right and then scored when Pedro Severino doubled to left to tie the game at 1. Severino advanced to third on a single by Caleb Ramsey. Trea Turner hit a ball to Refsnyder who threw out Severino at home for the first out. Tony Campana then loaded the bases with a single to left but Cessa would retire the next two to end the top of the 7th. Sammy Solis entered to pitch the 7th inning for the Chiefs and the streak reached 15 straight batters with a 1-2-3 7th. Cessa got the first two outs of the 8th but in came Tyler Webb to replace him with 2 outs in the 8th for the Railriders and Brian Goodwin got an infield single but a line out to short ended the top of the 8th. Lane Adams led off the bottom of the 8th with a single to center, then Kozma hit a sacrifice bunt to advance Adams to 2nd. Jonathan Diaz and Ben Gamel each walked then Aaron Judge hit a sacrifice fly to right to score Adams to give the Railriders a 2-1 lead. A fly out would end the 8th inning. Nick Goody came in for the 9th for the Railriders. Caleb Ramsey led off with a bunt single, but Goody would retire the final 3 batters to give the Railriders 3 of 4 games in the series.
