SWB Railriders at Pawtucket Game 6

The Pawtucket Red Sox and the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Railriders finished up their three game series this Wednesday afternoon. Henry Owens got the start on the mound for the Paw Sox. Kyle Haynes was the starting pitcher for the Railriders. Owens started the game with a 1-2-3 inning. Kyle Haynes only allowed a two out walk to Sam Travis and would advance on a wild pitch but Haynes induced a fly out to end the 1st. Donovan Solano, Cesar Puello and Chris Parmelee each drew one out walks to load the bases. Eddy Rodriguez groundout to second to score Solano for a 1-0 Railriders lead. Owens kept them to 1 run when Kozma lined out to center. Chris Dominguez reached on an error with one out but would be erased on a 4-6-3 double play at the end of the 2nd. The bottom of the 3rd would be the most interesting for the Red Sox. Deven Marrero hit a 2 out double to left and Marco Hernandez singled to move Marrero to third, making it first and third with two outs but Sam Travis ground into a forceout to end the 3rd. Ben Gamel would hit a double to right with one out, but a pop up and a ground out ended the top of the 5th. Haynes would throw a 1-2-3 5th. Rob Refsnyder lead off the 6th with a single but would be erased on a 5-4-3 double play. Cesar Puello would get hit by a pitch with two out but a strikeout kept the game 1-0 in favor of the Railriders at the end of 5. Justin Maxwell would draw a 2 out walk but would end up getting caught stealing second base for the third out of the 6th. Jorge Marban entered the game in the 7th for Pawtucket. Eddy Rodriguez lead off the 7th with a single but then Kozma grounded into a 4-6-3 double play and then Ben Gamel struck out to end the top of the 7th. Branden Pinder came in to pitch for the Railriders. Ryan LaMarre singled with two outs and advanced to second on a stolen base, but Dan Butler ended up flying out right to end the 7th. Heath Hembree entered the game to pitch for the Red Sox in the 8th and threw a 1-2-3 8th. Pinder would throw a 1-2-3 8th. Hembree threw a 1-2-3 9th to keep the game 1-0 Railriders going to the bottom of the 9th. Pinder would strike out Sam Travis for the first out. Justin Maxwell would pop out to Refsnyder for the second out. Chris Marrero would then fly out to Ben Gamel for the third out and the Railriders would sweep the Red Sox in Pawtucket.
