Lake-Lehman and Crestwood played in Mountain Top on Wednesday afternoon. The Black Knights sent Tommy Williams and the Comets countered with James Graves. Both Williams and Graves went 1-2-3 innings in the first and second innings. Garrett Weston and Noah Gorski each drew two out walks but a ground out to third for the third out of the top of the 3rd. Brett Caladie got hit by a pitch with two outs but a fielder's choice got Williams out of the inning. Hunter Nice got on base by an error with one out but a ground out by second and a popout ended the top of the 4th. Williams pitched a 1-2-3 4th. James Graves got a 1-2-3 5th inning with a little help from his defense. For the first out, Tommy Williams hit a ball that looked like it would be a single but Distasio went to his right and threw to Chalk for the first out. Jake Tomolonis hit a ball to second on a line that Brett Caladie snagged for the second out, then a groundout to short ended the inning. Curtis Tokach would reach on a error and would be replaced by Mike Paranich as a pinch runner. Paranich would steal second then advanced to third on a single by Jimmy Albee but a groundout back to Williams ended the threat. Hunter Nice led off the 7th with a single but would be out at second on a forceout to third and Graves would retire the next 2 to end the top of the 7th. Williams would throw a 1-2-3 7th to force extra innings. Jimmy Albee led off the bottom of the 8th with a single, then advanced to second when Brett Caladie sacrificed to the pitcher. Distasio then singled when they attempted to tag Albee but they weren't able to tag him and everyone was safe. Distasio and Albee advanced to second and third when Darden grounded out. After the Black Knights intentionally walked Colin Macko, Tim Kindler came to the plate. Kindler hit a ball to third that looked like the final out of the game but the ball was misplayed and couldn't get to the base in time so the game was tied at 1. Brandon Brozena had a chance to end the game but he hit a ball back to the pitcher for the final out of the inning. Mike Sikora got hit by a pitch with one out, but Macko would retire the next two to end the top of the 9th. Tyler Kolb replaced Tommy Williams on the mound for the Black Knights. Curtis Tokach would draw a lead off walk. Tokach would then advance to second when Corey Chalk sacrifice to the pitcher. Kolb threw a 1-2-3 10th to get it to the 11th inning. Chris Hadsell drew a lead off walk for the Black Knights. Wyatt Kindler then came in to relief Macko. Mike Sikora would then hit a single, moving Hadsell to move to second. Hadsell would be forced out at third when a bunt was played by Chalk who threw to third for the first out of the 11th. Garrett Weston then drew a 2 out walk to load the bases. Noah Gorski then followed with a walk to score Sikora to make it 2-1 Lake-Lehman. Connor Kaminski came in relief of Wyatt Kindler and induce a groundout to force Gorski at second to end the 11th. Tim Kindler led off with a single and would be lifted for a pinch runner in Matt Taleroski. Matt Taleroski would then be picked off at first for the first out. RJ Kresge would then single but would be forced out at second on a ground ball to short. With 2 outs, Corey Chalk hit a ball to center but Noah Gorski would then dive to catch the final out of the game and the Black Knights would take this marathon game 2-1 in 11 innings.

Thoughts on the game: One heck of a pitcher's duel. Really liked Tommy Williams, threw a lot of first pitch strikes and kept his pitch count low. Ty His defense made a lot of plays behind him. James Graves pitched a great game as well. Crestwood has been apart of 4 1-run games, going 2-2.
