Danny Salazar allowed 1 run in 5.1 innings and Yan Gomes and Carlos Santana each had 2 RBIs as the Indians defeated the White Sox. Todd Frazier homered for the White Sox.

The Padres scored their first run of the 2016 season in the fourth inning on a Jon Jay RBI single and Abington Heights graduate Cory Spangenberg would follow with a 2 RBI triple as part of a 6 run 4th inning as the Padres won their first game of the season. Trevor Story's great week continues as he goes 3 for 5 with 2 HRs, giving him 6 in the first week of the season.
Orioles 6 Rays 1
The Orioles got home runs from Nolan Reimold, Manny Machado, Chris Davis and Jonathan Schoop as they stayed undefeated as they knocked off the Rays. Corey Dickerson doubled for the Rays.
Red Sox 8 Blue Jays 7
Brock Holt hit a grand slam to cut a 7-2 deficit to within 1 run in the 6th, then David Ortiz and Hanley Ramirez got the Red Sox the lead with RBI singles. Josh Donaldson hit a grand slam for the Blue Jays.
Pirates 6 Reds 5
Starling Marte hit his first grand slam of his career as the Pirates remained undefeated with a victory over the Reds. Brandon Phillips went 2 for 2 with a Home run and 2 RBIs.
Cardinals 7 Braves 4
The Cardinals hit 3 pinch-hit home runs and Stephen Piscotty also homered as the Cardinals got their first win of the season. Erick Aybar, Nick Markakis, Hector Olivera, and Tyler Flowers had RBIs for the Braves.
Brewers 6 Astros 4
Scooter Gennett, Ryan Braun and Chris Carter homered as the Brewers took the victory. Tyler White went 2 for 4 with a double, a home run, 3 RBIs, and a run scored for the Astros.
Royals 4 Twins 3
Salvador Perez hit an RBI triple to tie the game at 3 in the eighth inning, and later scored to take the lead when Omar Infante hit a sac fly and the Royals took the victory. Byung Ho Park homered for the Twins who remain winless.
Diamondbacks 3 Cubs 2
Yasmany Tomas hit a walkoff single as the Diamondbacks handed the Cubs their first loss of the season. Paul Goldschmidt went 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs for the D'Backs. Jason Heyward and Ben Zobrist had RBIs for the Cubs.
Rangers 7 Angels 3
Rougned Odor hit a 2 run home run and AJ Griffin got his first MLB win since 2013 as the Rangers beat the Angels. Kole Calhoun, Carlos Perez and Cliff Pennington had RBIs for the Angels.
Athletics 3 Mariner 2
Josh Reddick went 2 for 3 with a solo home run and Chris Coghlan also added a homer as the A's took down the Mariners. Dae-Ho Lee had a home run for the Mariners.
Giants 3 Dodgers 2 (10)
Brandon Crawford hit a walk-off home run in the 10th inning as the Giants take the victory. The story of the game was Dodgers' pitcher Ross Stripling, who was pulled after 100 pitches while not allowing a hit. With the Giants down 2-0 and a runner on first, Trevor Brown homered to tie the game off Chris Hatcher.
