MLB Roundup April 11th

Pirates 7 Tigers 4
Gregory Polanco went 3 for 5 with two doubles and an RBI as the Pirates took the victory in Detroit. JD Martinez homered for the Tigers.


Orioles 9 Red Sox 7
Chris Davis hit a 3 run home run in the top of the 9th as the Orioles stayed undefeated at 6-0 as they win in Boston. Mookie Betts homered for the Red Sox.


Padres 4 Phillies 3
Alexi Amarista sacrificed to the pitcher to score Derek Norris in the 7th as the Padres spoiled the Phillies home opener. Cesar Hernandez tripled for the Phillies.


White Sox 4 Twins 1
Jose Quintana struck out 5 in 6 innings and Todd Frazier had an RBI double as the White Sox kept the Twins winless. Eddie Rosario had an RBI for the Twins.


Cardinals 10 Brewers 1
Michael Wacha struck out 7 in 6 innings and Matt Carpenter and Yadier Molina each had 2 RBIs as the Cardinals scored 9 runs in the first 3 innings as they won their home opener over Milwaukee. Cris Carter homered for the Brewers' lone run.


Nationals 6 Braves 4
Daniel Murphy homered and Max Scherzer struck 6 in 6 innings for the win as the Nationals kept the Braves winless. AJ Pierzynski drove in 2 for the Braves.


Marlins 10 Mets 3
Giancarlo Stanton homered and Adeiny Hechavarria drove in 3 as the Marlins took the victory. The Mets have lost 3 straight games. Yoenis Cespedes and Asdrubal Cabrera drove in a run each for the Mets.


Cubs 5 Reds 3
Addison Russell hit a 3-run HR in the 8th to give the Cubs the lead and Hector Rendon got a save as the Cubs came back to beat the Reds despite being no-hit for 6 2/3 innings. Brandon Phillips and Brandon Finnegan each drove in a run for the Reds.


Astros 8 Royals 2
George Springer and Jason Castro each had RBI triples to give the Astros the victory over Kansas City. Kendrys Morales hit a 2-run home run for the Royals only scoring.


Rangers 7 Mariners 3
Rougned Odor drove in 3 and Colby Lewis went 6 innings, striking out 6 as the Rangers beat the Mariners. Nelson Cruz homered for the Mariners.


Angels 4 Athletics 1
Mike Trout hit his first home run of the season and Nick Tropeano went 5 innings and had 6 strikeouts as the Angels took down the A's. Marcus Semien drove in the lone run for the A's.
