MLB Roundup April 4th

Giants 12 Brewers 3
Denard Span, Joe Panik and Buster Posey hit back-to-back-to-back HRs as the Giants beat the Brewers 12-3. Jonathan Villar and Scooter Gennett homered for the Brewers.


Orioles 3 Twins 2
Matt Wieters hit a walk-off single with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th to propel the Orioles to a 3-2 victory over the Twins. Eduardo Escobar had 2 doubles and an RBI.


Rangers 3 Mariners 2
Cole Hamels struck out 8 in 7 innings as the Rangers knocked off the Mariners 3-2. Kyle Seager and Robinson Cano each homered for the Mariners only runs.


Nationals 4 Braves 3 (10)
Daniel Murphy hit an RBI double in the 10th inning to give the Nationals a 4-3 victory over the Brvaes in 10 innings. Murphy also homered in his Nationals debut. Freddie Freeman and Adonis Garcia homered for the Braves.


Reds 6 Phillies 2
The Reds scored 5 runs in the 8th and Zack Cosart doubled twice as the Reds beat the Phillies 6-2. Freddie Galvis hit a 2-run Home run for the Phillies.


Dodgers 15 Padres 0
Clayton Kershaw went 7 innings and struck out 9 as the Dodgers' bats got hot on Opening Day as they beat the Padres 15-0. Yangervis Solarte doubled for the Padres.


Blue Jays 5 Rays 3
Josh Donaldson homered and RA Dickey went 5 innings as the Blue Jays improved to 2-0 as they defeated the Rays 5-3. Steven Souza homered for the Rays and Kevin Kiermaier went 3-for-3.


White Sox 4 Athletics 3
Chris Sale struck out 8 in 7 innings and Adam Eaton had an RBI Triple as the White Sox beat the A's 4-3. Jed Lowrie had 2 RBIs for the A's.


Cubs 9 Angels 0
Jake Arrieta went 7 innings, striking out 6 as the Cubs took the victory 9-0 over the Angels. Miguel Montero homered for the Cubs. CJ Cron doubled for the Angels.


Rockies 10 Diamondbacks 5
Trevor Story had 2 HRs and 4 RBIs to lead the Rockies over the Diamondbacks 10-5. Carlos Gonzalez and Nolan Arenado homered for the Rockies. Jake Lamb homered for the Diamondbacks.
