Missing Kicks

The second week of the NFL season has come to a close. Something I've noticed more of this season more than I have in several years. Kickers seem to be missing more kicks this year. As I'm talking about this, two kickers have been replaced in Minnesota and Cleveland. Both missed kicks in overtime that caused their team to tie their opponent. With all that being said, here is what went down in Week 2.

Week 2 NFL Scores
Falcons 31 Panthers 24
Atlanta QB Matt Ryan threw for 272 yards and two touchdowns and also added two rushing touchdowns as the Falcons would take down Carolina. Panthers QB Cam Newton threw for 335 yards and three touchdowns.

Colts 21 Redskins 9
Indianapolis QB Andrew Luck threw for 179 yards and two touchdowns and wideout TY Hilton would have seven catches for 83 yards and a touchdown as the Colts would take the road victory in Washington. Redskins kicker Dustin Hopkins would kick three field goals on the day.

Titans 20 Texans 17
Ryan Succop kicked a 31 yard field goal with a minute left and backup QB Blaine Gabbert threw for 117 yards and a touchdown as the Titans would beat the Texans. Texans QB DeShaun Watson threw for 310 yards and two touchdowns.

Buccaneers 27 Eagles 21
Ryan Fitzpatrick threw for 402 yards and four touchdowns and wideout DeSean Jackson had four catches for 129 yards and a touchdown as Tampa Bay would go to 2-0 with a home victory over the Eagles. Eagles RBs Corey Clement and Jay Ajayi each had a rushing touchdown.

Chiefs 42 Steelers 37
QB Patrick Mahomes had another spectacular outing. He threw for 326 yards and six touchdowns and TE Travis Kelce had seven catches for 109 yards and two touchdowns as Kansas City would go to 2-0 with a victory in Pittsburgh. Steelers receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster had 13 catches for 121 yards and a touchdown.

Dolphins 20 Jets 12
QB Ryan Tannehill threw for 168 yards and two touchdowns and Kenyon Drake had a rushing touchdown as Miami would go to 2-0 with a road victory over the Jets. Jets QB Sam Darnold threw for 334 yards and a touchdown.

Chargers 31 Bills 20
Chargers QB Philip Rivers threw for 256 yards and three touchdowns and Melvin Gordon had a rushing touchdown and 2 touchdowns receiving as the Chargers would take down Buffalo. Bills QB Josh Allen threw for 245 yards and a touchdown.

Packers 29 Vikings 29
Vikings QB Kirk Cousins threw for 425 yards and four touchdowns and Packers Kicker Mason Crosby kicked five field goals as the Packers and Vikings played to a tie.

Saints 21 Browns 18
Saints QB Drew Brees threw for 243 yards and two touchdowns and wideout Michael Thomas had 12 catches for 89 yards and two touchdowns as the Saints survived an upset by the Browns. Browns QB Tyrod Taylor threw for 246 yards and a touchdown.

Rams 34 Cardinals 0
Rams RB Todd Gurley had three rushing touchdowns and QB Jared Goff threw for 354 yards and a touchdown as the Rams would shutout the Cardinals. Arizona CB Patrick Patterson recorded an interception.

49ers 30 Lions 27
49ers RB Matt Breida ran for 138 yards and a touchdown and QB Jimmy Garropolo threw for 206 yards and two touchdowns as San Francisco would survive a Lions comeback attempt. Detroit QB Matthew Stafford threw for 347 yards and three touchdowns.

Jaguars 31 Patriots 20
Jacksonville QB Blake Bortles threw for 377 yards and four touchdowns and wideout Keelan Cole had seven catches for 116 yards and a touchdown as the Jaguars made a statement by beating the Patriots. New England QB Tom Brady threw for 234 yards and two touchdowns.

Broncos 20 Raiders 19
Royce Freeman and Case Keenum each ran in for a touchdown and Brandon McManus would hit a 36 yard field goal with six seconds left as Denver would beat the Raiders. Raiders QB Derek Carr threw for 288 yards and a touchdown.
