Dodgers rout Giants

The San Francisco Giants and the Los Angeles Dodgers finished up their four game set in LA on Sunday night. The Giants are looking to take their third game of the series. The defending NL Champion Dodgers are looking for a split of the series. Chris Stratton would be the starting pitcher for the Giants. Rich Hill would be the Dodgers starting pitcher.
In the top of the first, Joe Panik would hit a one out single to right, but Hill would get out of the inning with a 6-4-3 double play. Stratton would pitch a 1-2-3 first inning for the Giants. Hill would have a 1-2-3 second inning. Stratton would have another 1-2-3 inning in the second. In the top of the third, Brandon Belt would draw a walk, then Brandon Crawford would single to center field and Belt would go to third. Stratton would move Crawford to second on a sacrifice bunt. After a ground out, Panik would draw a walk to load the bases but a fly out to left would end the inning to keep the game scoreless. Kyle Farmer would get hit by a pitch with one out but a force out and a strikeout would end the third. Buster Posey would hit a leadoff single to left to start the top of the fourth. After back-to-back strikeouts, Belt would hit a double to right and get Posey to third. Crawford would be intentionally walked to load the base to get to the pitcher and Hill would get a strikeout to get out of the jam. Corey Seager would lead off the bottom of the fourth with a single to left, then Yasiel Puig followed with a single to left. After Yasmani Grandal flew out to right, Cody Bellinger would fly to left that would move Seager to third and would score during a rundown for a 1-0 Dodgers lead. The Giants would get a pickoff to end the inning. Hill would throw a 1-2-3 fifth inning. Enrique Hernandez would led off the bottom of the fifth with a single to left but Stratton would retire the next three to keep the 1-0 deficit. Posey would hit a leadoff double in the sixth inning. The Giants would not be able to capitalize as the next three batters would be retired. In the bottom of the sixth, Chris Taylor would hit a double to left. After a strikeout, Puig would hit a double to center to score Taylor for a 2-0 Dodgers lead. The Giants would go to the bullpen and bring in Josh Osich for Stratton. Yasmani Grandal would single to left to score Puig for a 3-0 lead, then Bellinger would follow with his first home run of the season, a shot to left for a 5-0 lead. A strikeout and a ground out would end the sixth. Tony Cingrani would come in to replace Hill to start the seventh inning for the Dodgers. Cingrani would have a 1-2-3 inning in the seventh. Roberto Gomez would come in to pitch for the Giants. Taylor would hit a two out single to center but a flyout would end the seventh inning. Josh Fields would come in to pitch for the Dodgers in the eighth and would throw a 1-2-3 inning. Yasiel Puig, Grandal, and Bellinger led off the eighth with singles to load the bases. Hernandez would hit a double to center to score Puig and Grandal for a 7-0 lead. Reyes Moronta came in to pitch for the Giants. Joc Pederson would ground out but Bellinger would score for an 8-0 advantage. After a popout, Austin Barnes would pinch hit and would single to center to score Hernandez for a 9-0 lead. A strikeout would end the inning. Wilmer Font would come in to pitch for the Dodgers in the top of the ninth. Hunter Pence would hit a one out single but a fly out and a ground out would end the game as the Dodgers would shutout the Giants to salvage a split of the series 9-0.
