Red hot shooting propels Nanticoke over Crestwood

The Nanticoke Trojans came to Mountain Top to take on the Crestwood Comets in front of an amazing crowd at Crestwood High School. The Comets are coming in on a six game winning streak and hoped to move to seven in a row. The Trojans are currently tied for first place in WVC Division 2 and hope to stay there with a victory. Who would come out on top in this interesting matchup between two young teams? Let's get into the game!
The first quarter was dominated by Nanticoke. After Crestwood's Ryan Petrosky scored the first basket of the game, Trahjan Krupinski would tie the game up at three, then his brother, freshman Jake Krupinski scored eight straight points for a 10-2 Trojans advantage. The Trojans would continue to lead as they would lead 16-6 at the end of the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Comets would cut the lead to six but Nanticoke would go on a 7-0 run and would lead 30-17 at halftime.
Nate Kreitzer would start off hot in the third quarter as he would score five straight points in the matter of a minute to increase the lead to 18. The Comets would only be able to score four points in that quarter and would trail 45-21 at the end of three. The Trojans would cruise in the fourth quarter to take a 50-33 victory over the Crestwood Comets.

Thoughts on the game: Nanticoke looked great throughout the game. Freshman Jake Krupinski was great. He scored 18 points, including eight straight points in the first quarter. It was an overall great performance by the Trojans. For the Comets, Evan Knapp had a pretty good game, scoring nine points.
