Defense Shines as Jaguars take victory over Buffalo

The Buffalo Bills traveled to Florida to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars. Both teams are having very surprising seasons and have snapped long playoff droughts. The Jaguars are here for the first time since 2008. The Bills haven't been in the playoffs since 1999. Only one team will have a chance to advance to the AFC Divisional Round. Who will come out on top in this AFC Wild Card matchup? Let's get into the game! The Bills would face a third and 7 and Tyrod Taylor would find Jones for 15 yards to their own 43 yard line. The Bills wouldn't be able to get another first down and would be forced to punt. The Jaguars would go three and out on their first drive of the game. The Bills would go three and out on their next possession. On second and 6 for the Jaguars, Blake Bortles would find DeDe Westbrook for 11 yards for a first down. The Jaguars wouldn't move the chains after that and would be forced to punt. The Bills would punt on their next possession as we head to the end of the first quarter. The Jaguars would punt on the first possession of the second quarter. The first play of the Buffalo possession, Taylor would find O'Leary for 13 yards. On the next play, Taylor would be intercepted by Colvin and Jacksonville would take over at the Bills 35 yard line. The Jaguars would be unable to capitalize as they would be forced to punt. The Bills would go on an 18 play drive that ended with a 31 yard field goal by Stephen Hauschka for a 3-0 lead by Buffalo. The Jaguars and Bills would trade punt before Jacksonville would take over with 40 seconds to go. Bortles would go for 20 yards on the first play of the drive to get the Jaguars in field goal range. Bortles would go for 12 yards to the Bills 21 yard line and Josh Lambo would make a 44 yard field goal to tie the game at 3 as we head to halftime. The Jaguars and Bills would trade punts to start the second half. The Jaguars would go on a 15 play drive that would end with Bortles going to Ben Koyack for a one yard touchdown for a 10-3 Jacksonville lead with 42 seconds remaining in the third quarter. The Bills would face a third and 7 as we head to the fourth quarter. Taylor would go to Clay for a 10 yard gain for a first down. Buffalo faced a third and 1 and LeSean McCoy would go for a yard for the first. The Bills would be unable to move the chains again and would be forced to punt. The Jaguars would punt once again to give the Bills a chance to tie the game. First play of the drive would be a McCoy for 39 yards but was negated by a holding penalty for a first and 4. On that play, Thompson would get nine yards. On the next play, Matt Tolbert would go for 11 yards. On second and 10, it looked like Taylor would find Clay for an 11 yard gain but the Jaguars would challenge the call and would be reversed after review. On third and 10, Taylor would be sacked by Myles Jack and the Bills would be forced to punt with under six minutes to play. Bortles would go for 26 yards on a second and 15 but the Jaguars would punt on the next set of downs. The Bills and Jaguars would go three and out on their next drives. The Bills would have a chance to tie the game with 1:51 remaining in the game. Buffalo would face a third and 5 and Taylor would only go for two yards but he would have to leave due to concussion protocol and Nate Peterman would have to come in. On fourth and 3, Peterman would scramble for four yards for a first down. Peterman would find Thompson for 14 yards to the Jaguars 38 yard line. On second and 20, Peterman's pass would be intercepted by Jalen Ramsey and would be upheld on replay and the Jaguars would take the victory 10-3 over Buffalo. Jacksonville will travel to Pittsburgh next Sunday for the right to play in the AFC Championship game.
