The Seattle Seahawks traveled to Arizona to take on the Cardinals. The Seahawks and Cardinals are both looking to gain momentum as we head into the second half of the season. Drew Stanton would get the start in replacement of Carson Palmer who is out with an injury. The Seahawks needed a win to stay within pace of the Rams of the NFC West lead. Who would come on top in this Thursday night matchup? Let's get to it! Seattle would start with the ball and go three and out. On the first play of the Cardinals drive, Adrian Peterson would fumble and the Seahawks would recover. Seattle wouldn't be able to capitalize as they would go three and out once again. On the next Cardinals drive, they would face a third and 7 and Drew Stanton would go to Brown for nine. That would be all the Cardinals could get and would punt the ball back to the Seahawks. The Seahawks would go on a nine play drive that would result in Russell Wilson going to Jimmy Graham from six yards out. The Cardinals would answer back on the first play of the second quarter as Stanton would throw a screen pass to Jermaine Gresham from 14 yards out. The Seahawks would punt on their next possession and the Cardinals would get the ball at their own 2 yard line, the Seahawks would get a safety to lead 9-7. After both teams traded teams, the Seahawks would go on a long drive that would result in a Blair Walsh field goal that increased the lead to 12-7 Seahawks. The Cardinals would get a turnover on downs and the Seahawks would get the ball back before the end of the first half. The Seahawks would quickly march down the field and would get another Walsh field goal to lead at 15-7 as we headed to halftime. The Cardinals would start with the ball to start the second half and go on an 11 play drive that would result in a Phil Dawson to cut the lead to 15-10. Each team would exchange punts twice. The Seattle would go on a seven play drive that would result in Russell Wilson second connection with Jimmy Graham that would increase the lead to 22-10. After both teams trade punts, the Cardinals would face a fourth and 8 at the Seahawks 15 yard line. After a Seahawks three and out and the Cardinals would go 11 plays that would result in Andre Ellington scoring a rushing touchdown from one yard out to cut the lead to 22-16. The Cardinals would try for an onside kick and the Seahawks would get it back and take a knee as Seattle take down the Cardinals.
