Final Four

With the State Quarterfinals upon us, only four District 2 teams are alive for a chance for a State Title. The College Football unofficial end of the regular season is this week and several teams are looking to punch their ticket to the College Football Playoff in January. Several are looking to get into a bowl and some are looking to be bowl eligible. With all that said, let's get into the District 2 State Playoff games and the College Football Top 25 games.

Ligonier Valley is the District 6 champion and knocked off Bishop McCort to get to the State quarterfinals. Dunmore is the District 2 Champion and knocked off Newport to get to this point. LV QB John Caldwell has thrown for 1,361 yards and 19 touchdowns to only one interception. Bucks RB Frank Damiano has rushed for 578 yards and 14 touchdowns on the year.

Middletown vs Scranton Prep
Fri 7 PM at Bethlehem Stadium
Middletown is the District 3 and beat Wyomissing in the District Championship game. Scranton Prep is the District 2 Champion and knocked off Loyalsock in the first round of the state playoffs. Middletown RB Brady Fox rushed for 207 yards in the District final. Cavaliers QB Leo O'Boyle threw for 1,462 yards and 22 touchdowns on the season.

Imhotep vs Valley View
Fri 7 PM at Northern Lehigh HS
Imhotep is the District 12 Champion and beat Cardinal O'Hara for the District Title. Valley View is the District 2 Champion and knocked off Berwick in double overtime for the Championship. Imhotep QB Jalen Sutton-Christian has thrown for 1,491 yards and 20 touchdowns on the year. Cougars RB Seth Vernon is rushing for 1,491 yards and 26 touchdowns on the year.

Archbishop Wood vs Valley West
Sat 1 PM at Northern Lehigh HS
Archbishop Wood is the District 12 Champion and beat Simon Gratz in the District final. Valley West is coming off a victory over Whitehall in the District 2/11 Subregional Final. Archbishop Wood and Virginia Tech commit Nasir Peoples rushed for 174 yards in the District final. Valley West RB Sean Mikovitch has 1,351 yards and 14 touchdowns on the season.

College Football Top 25 games

Ole Miss at (14) Mississippi State

Ole Miss is coming off a loss to Texas A&M. Mississippi State is coming off a close victory over Arkansas. Ole Miss wideout has 69 catches for 1,085 yards and 10 touchdowns. Bulldogs QB Nick Fitzgerald is throwing for 1,770 yards and 15 touchdowns. He is also rushing for 968 yards and 14 touchdowns.

USF is coming off a victory over Tulsa. UCF is coming off a victory over Temple to stay unbeaten. Both teams are looking to get into the AAC Championship game. Bulls QB Quinton Flowers has thrown for 2,097 yards and 17 touchdowns. He has also rushed for 870 yards and nine touchdowns. Knights QB McKenzie Milton has thrown for 2,928 yards and 26 touchdowns.
