Finales Await

Well, here we are, the end of the regular season. Hard to believe that Week 1 started in August and now we're at the end of October and the regular season is ending. For most of the teams in District 2, just because the regular season is ending doesn't mean their season is over. 25 teams will compete for six District titles and several others will play in the Eastern Conference playoffs. Several teams have rivalry bragging rights, some are playing for an undefeated season, some are playing for positioning for the District playoffs and some are hoping to get one final win before their season comes to an end. With all of this being said, here are the games in high school and college football for Week number 10. 

Berwick at Williamsport

Berwick is coming off a win over Lake-Lehman. Williamsport is coming off a loss. Bulldogs RB Evan Klinger is rushing for 676 yards and seven touchdowns. Wideout Damon Beckhorn has 27 catches for 342 yards and four touchdowns. Millionaires wideout Marcus Simmons has 56 catches for 764 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Riverside at Carbondale

Riverside is coming off a loss to Lackawanna Trail. Carbondale is coming off a loss to unbeaten Dunmore. Vikings RB Chase Briskie is rushing for 900 yards and six touchdowns. Chargers RB Nick Vadella has rushed for 723 yards and six touchdowns.

Coughlin at Valley West

Coughlin is coming off a loss to Pittston Area. Valley West is coming off a victory over Crestwood. Crusaders RB Jacob Cole is rushing for 1,029 yards and eight touchdowns. Valley West RB Sean Mikovitch has rushed for 873 yards and eight touchdowns.

Hazleton Area at Crestwood

Hazleton Area is coming off a win over Dallas. Crestwood is coming off a loss to Valley West. Cougars QB Sparky Wolk is throwing for 1,754 yards and 16 touchdowns and wideout David Smith has 29 catches for 420 yards and six touchdowns. Comets RB Nick Grosek is rushing for 558 yards and seven touchdowns.

Lake-Lehman at Dallas

Lake-Lehman is coming off a loss to Berwick. Dallas is also coming off a loss but it was to Hazleton Area. Black Knights RB Trey Borger has rushed for 835 yards and ten touchdowns. Mountaineers RB Danny Meuser rushed for 579 yards and nine touchdowns.

Dunmore at Old Forge

A battle of unbeaten teams in the final week of the regular season. Bucks QB Gavin Darcy has thrown for 842 yards and 18 touchdowns on the season. Blue Devils RB Brendan Mozeleski has rushed for 1,628 yards and 22 touchdowns on the year. Both teams have locks on the number 1 seed in their classification, but their goal is this week to stay undefeated.

Nanticoke at Hanover Area

Nanticoke is coming off a win over Holy Redeemer. Hanover Area is coming off a loss to GAR on the road. Trojans RB Dawson Hughes has rushed for 669 yards and four touchdowns. The Hawkeyes' Sean Coleman has rushed for 340 yards and two touchdowns. He has 30 catches for 374 yards and a touchdown.

Honesdale at Valley View

Honesdale is coming off a loss to North Pocono. Valley View is coming off a victory over Western Wayne. Hornets RB Garyn Barnes has rushed for 617 yards and nine touchdowns. Cougars RB Seth Vernon has rushed for 977 yards and 18 touchdowns.

Pittston Area at Wyoming Area

North Pocono at Scranton Prep
