Chiefs stay undefeated as they knock off Houston

The Kansas City Chiefs are coming in undefeated as they traveled to Houston on Sunday Night Football to take on the Texans. This game featured some highly-touted rookies on the offensive side of the ball in Chiefs RB Kareem Hunt and Texans QB Deshaun Watson. Who would come out on top in Houston? We'll find out soon enough. The Chiefs started off with the ball and went on a long drive that resulted in a field goal. The Chiefs defense would force a three and out to get the ball back. Alex Smith would go to Kareem Hunt for 10 yards on second and 8. The Chiefs would face a third and 11 and Smith would find Travis Kelce for 20. Hunt would go for 13 yards on the next play for a first and goal at the 4. They would face a third and goal at the 5 and Smith would go to Charcandrick West for an eight yard touchdown. The PAT would make it 13-0 with 5:45 remaining in the second quarter. The Texans drive would end with a fumble recovered by Kansas City. The drive would result in a field goal that would make it 16-0 with 4:17 left in the second. The Texans needed to respond on the next drive and they would when Deshaun Watson would find DeAndre Hopkins in the back of the end zone to cut the Chiefs lead to 16-7 with 1:49 remaining til halftime. The Chiefs would drive down the field and would result in a touchdown for Kansas City. Smith would find West for their second touchdown and the Chiefs would lead 23-7 at halftime. The Texans would start with the ball and would go three and out. The Chiefs would get one first down but would end up punting. The Texans would drive down and get a touchdown pass from Watson to Will Fuller for a nine yard score. The two point conversion would fail to make it 23-13 late in the third quarter. The quarter would come to a close with the Chiefs holding a 23-13 lead and were looking to increase the lead. The Chiefs would attempt a 35 yard field goal and would make it to increase the lead to 26-13 with 14:01 remaining in the game. The Texans would answer with a scoring drive as Deshaun Watson went to Fuller for the second time of the game. The Chiefs would increase their lead as Smith went to De'Anthony Thomas for a 10 yard score. The Chiefs Tyreek Hill returned a punt for a touchdown. The Texans next drive would result in another score as Watson went to Hopkins for 24 yards. The Chiefs would add another field goal as Kansas City stayed undefeated with a 42-34 final  score.

Thoughts on the game: The Chiefs looked dominant throughtout the game. Alex Smith looked very good during the game and the defense dominated during the first half. The Texans suffered a heavy loss in game as JJ Watt will miss the rest of the season with an injury.
