Quarterfinals Await

In the State playoffs, you typically need two pitchers to do well. Considering you play Monday and then Thursday. Also a fun fact is that all the District Champions that qualified for the state tournament advanced to the State Quarterfinals. Well with all that said, here are the previews of the District 2 Baseball Teams still in the State Playoffs.

Tony Molitoris only needed 60 pitches to get past Tamaqua on Monday. Jordan Choman is no slouch either, he threw a no-hitter against Lake-Lehman in the quarterfinals and got the win in the District Title game by beating previously unbeaten Lakeland. Choman on the season is 4-1 with a 1.37 ERA and 31 strikeouts. Tom Borum has been great at the plate, he's hitting .389 with five doubles, a home run and 20 RBIs.
