The New Patriots traveled to Buffalo to take on the Bills. The Patriots were off to a rocky start but have rebounded and are currently in first place in the AFC East. Both teams would end up trading punts on their first possessions of the game. The Patriots would go on a 15 play drive that would end with a 25 yard field goal by Stephen Gostkowski for a 3-0 lead. The Bills would punt once again. New England would get another field goal as we enter the second quarter from 40 yards out for a 6-0 Patriots lead. The Bills would go three and out. New England would get their third field goal of the game from 38 yards out and a 9-0 lead. Buffalo would get a field goal to get themselves on the board by Stephen Hauschka from 47 yards away with 1:43 to go in the second quarter. The Patriots would execute the two-minute drill and would try to get a 50 yard field goal and would miss it wide to the right and New England would lead 9-0 at halftime.
Both teams would start the second half by trading punts, the Bills would get a good return by Micah Hyde to the Patriots 35 yard line. The Bills would get on the board with a 51 yard field goal by Hauschka. The Patriots would punt on their next drive. The Bills drive would end with a fumble recovered by New England. The Patriots would get a 25 yard field goal by Gostkowski on a five play drive to make it 12-3. The Bills would punt on their next drive. James White would cap off a 10 play New England drive with a one yard touchdown. The first touchdown of the game as we are in the fourth quarter. The Patriots would go for two and fail to convert as they would lead 18-6. The Bills would drive down the field and thought they would have a touchdown pass but the pass would be ruled imcomplete. On the next play, Derek Anderson's pass would be intercepted by Devin McCourty and returned 84 yards for a touchdown and a 25-6 lead. The Patriots would cruise from there to take the road victory in Buffalo.
