Steelers overcome 17 point deficit to take down the Bengals
The Steelers, leading the AFC North by three games traveled to Cincinnati to take on the Bengals.The Bengals are hoping to keep their playoff chances alive with a win. A Steelers win tonight means they would need a win in any of their final four games to clinch the division. Who would come out on top in the AFC North Divisional matchup on Monday night football? Let's get going! The Steelers would start with the ball and the drive ended with Ben Roethlisberger would get picked off by Bengals LB Vontize Burfict at their own 41 yard line. The Bengals would be able to capitalize with a 35 yard field goal by Reggie Bullock for a 3-0 Bengals lead. The Steelers would be forced to punt on their next drive and then the Bengals would go on a 12 play drive that ended with Andy Dalton going to AJ Green for an eight yard score and a 10-0 Cincinnati lead. The second quarter would start with another Steelers punt. The Bengals and Steelers would trade punts and then the Bengals would go on a long 15 play drive that ended with Andy Dalton connecting with AJ Green for the second time in the end zone, this time from 15 yards out for a 17-0 lead. The Steelers would get one last drive before halftime and the Steelers would get a 30 yard field goal by Chris Boswell which was benefitted from a pass interference penalty on the Bengals as we headed to halftime. The Bengals would start with the ball in the second half and would go three and out. The Steelers would be able to cut the Bengals lead when the Steelers went on a nine play drive that ended with Roethlisberger going to Le'Veon Bell for a 35 yard touchdown to make it 17-10. The Bengals would capitalize when they went on a 10 play drive that resulted in a 41 yard field goal by Bullock to make it 20-10. The Steelers looked like they would get a kick return for a touchdown by Martavis Bryant but they would get called for holding to bring it back and unfortunately could not recover as they would punt once again. The Bengals would be forced to punt as the third quarter came to an end. On second and 5, Roethlisberger would go to Antonio Brown for 15 then faced a fourth and 1 at their own 36 yard line and Bell would go for nine yards on the play. On second and 6, the pass would fall incomplete but the Bengals would get called for pass interference. The Steelers would have to settle for a 37 yard field goal by Boswell to cut the deficit to 20-13. The Bengals would go quickly three and out and then the Steelers would go on a nine play drive that resulted in Ben Roethlisberger going to Antonio Brown for the score to tie the game at 20. After another Bengals three and out, the Steelers would drive for a game winning field goal as time expired and would end with a Boswell 38 yard field goal as the Steelers overcame a 17 point deficit to take the road victory over Cincinnati.
