Seahawks snap Eagles nine game winning streak
The Philadelphia Eagles come in with a 10-1 record and traveled to Seattle to take on the Seahawks in a big Sunday night matchup. An Eagles win would give them the NFC East title. The Seahawks are still a game out of first place after the Rams beat the Cardinals this afternoon. A loss would give the Rams a two game lead with four remaining. Who could come out on top in this primetime matchup? Let's get to the game! The Seahawks started with the ball and went on a 12 play drive that ended in a 46 yard field goal by Blair Walsh for a 3-0 Seahawks lead. The Eagles would face a third and 2 and Wentz would fumble but an unnecessary roughness penalty would give the Eagles a first down. They wouldn't be able to capitalize and would be forced to punt. The Eagles and Seahawks would trade three and outs then the Seahawks would take over and Russell Wilson would find Vannett for 18 yards on the first play of the drive, then Wilson would go to Davis for 23 yards. After a holding penalty and a pass interference on the Eagles, the Seahawks would have it at the 16 yard line and then after a holding penalty on the Eagles, Wilson would find Jimmy Graham from 11 yards out for a 10-0 lead as the first quarter came to an end. The Eagles would go 16 plays and would result in a 26 yard field goal by Jake Elliott to cut the lead to 10-3. The Seahawks and Eagles would trade punts as we headed to halftime. The Eagles would get the ball in the second half and on the first play, Carson Wentz would find Zach Ertz for 14 yards. On a second and 8, Wentz would go to Ertz again for 11 yards then on the next play, Wentz would go to Jeffrey for 11 yards. They would face a third and 12 and Wentz would go to Torrey Smith for 11 and then went for it on fourth and 1 and Wentz would sneak for two yards. The next play, Wentz would find Jeffrey for 23 for a first and goal at the four. On second and goal at the 1, Wentz would fumble and the Seahawks would recover in the endzone for a touchback. The Seahawks would capitalize with an 11 play drive that ended with Russell Wilson went to Tyler Lockett for a one yard score for a 17-3 lead. On the first play of the Eagles drive, Wentz would go to Nelson Agholor for 32 then Wentz would find Jay Ajayi for 11 to the Seahawks 32 yard line. They would face a fourth and 3 and Wentz's pass would go incomplete and the Seahawks would get a turnover on downs. The Seahawks wouldn't be able to capitalize as they would be forced to punt. The Eagles would face a third and 13 as we entered the fourth quarter. First play of the fourth quarter, Wentz would go to Agholor for 51 yards to the Seahawks 33 yard line then Wentz went to Hollins for 10 then on third and 14, Wentz would find Agholor for a 27 yard touchdown to cut the Seahawks lead to 17-10. The Seahawks would capitalize with a 10 play drive that ended with Wilson going to JD McKissic for a 15 yard touchdown for a 24-10 lead. The Eagles would face a fourth and 6 at the Seahawks 40 and the pass would fall incomplete and the Seahawks would take and they would cruise and snap the Eagles' nine game winning as the Seahawks took the victory at home.
