Playoff Hopefuls

With December already here, that usually means a few things. Holiday decorations, colder weather and many NFL teams hoping to get into the playoffs. Some fans are hoping for a Super Bowl, some are hoping to get into the playoffs and some have given up on the season knowing they won't make the playoffs. Well with all that being said, here's what went down in Sunday's action as well as the standings and what can be clinched next week. 

Vikings 14 Falcons 9
Vikings QB Case Keenum threw for 227 yards and two touchdowns and TE Kyle Rudolph had four catches for 36 yards and a touchdown as the Vikings took the road victory in Atlanta. Falcons kicker Matt Bryant kicked three field goals in the loss.

Ravens 44 Lions 20
Ravens RB Alex Collins rushed for 75 yards and two touchdows and QB Joe Flacco threw for 269 yards and two touchdowns as the Ravens took down the Lions. Lions QB Matthew Stafford threw for 292 yards and a touchdown in defeat.

Patriots 23 Bills 3
Patriots RB Rex Burkhead rushed for 78 yards and two touchdowns and kicker Stephen Gostkowski kicked three field goals as the Patriots took down Buffalo. Bills RB LeSean McCoy rushed for 93 yards in the game.

49ers 15 Bears 14
49ers kicker Robbie Gould kicked five field goals and QB Jimmy Garappolo threw for 293 yards as the 49ers won their second game of the year as they took a road victory in Chicago. Bears QB Mitch Trubisky threw for 102 yards and a touchdown in the loss.

Packers 26 Buccaneers 20 (OT)
RB Aaron Jones scored on a 20 yard touchdown run on his only carry of the game as the Packers beat the Buccaneers in overtime. Packers RB Jamaal Williams rushed for 113 yards and a touchdown in the win. Buccaneers QB Jamesis Winston threw for 270 yards and two touchdowns.

Jaguars 30 Colts 10
QB Blake Bortles threw for 309 yards and two touchdowns and RB Leonard Fournette rushed for 57 yards and a touchdown as the Jaguars finished the season sweep of the Colts. Colts QB Jacoby Brissett threw for 174 yards and a touchdown to TY Hilton.

Dolphins 35 Broncos 9
QB Jay Cutler threw for 235 yards and two touchdowns and Kenyan Drake rushed for 120 yards and a touchdown as the Dolphins snapped their five game losing streak as they knocked off the Broncos. The Broncos' Justin Simmons returned an interception 65 yards for the team's only score of the game.

Jets 38 Chiefs 31
Jets QB Josh McCown threw for 331 yards and a touchdown and also added two rushing touchdowns and Bilal Powell added 48 yards on the ground and a touchdown as the Jets knocked off the Chiefs. Chiefs QB Alex Smith threw for 366 yards and four touchdowns. The Chiefs have lost six of their last seven games since starting 5-0.

Titans 24 Texans 13
Titans RB Derrick Henry rushed for 109 yards and a touchdown and QB Marcus Mariota threw for 150 yards and a touchdown and also added a rushing touchdown as the Titans kept themselves tied for first place as they knocked off the Texans. Texans QB Tom Savage threw for 365 yards and a touchdown.

Chargers 19 Browns 10
Chargers QB Philip Rivers threw for 344 yards and a touchdown and kicker Travis Coons kicked four field goals as the Chargers kept the Browns off the win column with a home victory. Browns QB Deshone Kizer threw for 215 yards and a touchdown to David Njoku.

Saints 31 Panthers 21
Saints RB Alvin Kamara rushed for 60 yards and two touchdowns and Drew Brees threw for 269 yards and a touchdown as the Saints beat the Panthers to be in first place all alone. Panthers QB Cam Newton threw for 183 yards and two touchdowns.

Rams 32 Cardinals 16
Rams QB Jared Goff threw for 220 yards and two touchdowns and Alec Ogletree returned an interception 41 yards for a score as LA took down the Cardinals and stay a game ahead of the Seahawks. Cardinals QB Blaine Gabbert threw for 221 yards and a touchdown.

Raiders 24 Giants 17
Raiders RB Marshawn Lynch rushed for 101 yards and a touchdown and QB Derek Carr threw for 287 yards and a touchdown as the Raiders took down the Giants. Giants QB Geno Smith threw for 212 yards and a touchdown. The Giants on Monday fired Head Coach Ben McAdoo and the interim head coach will be Steve Spagnolo.
