Mountain View takes District 2/11 Single-A Title with victory over Nativity BVM


In the biggest game of Mountain View’s season, it took them a little to get going offensively. After a Lady Eagles timeout, they started to find center Freshman Addison Kilmer. Kilmer recorded a double-double with 20 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks en route to the District 2/11 Subregional Title with a 36-20 victory over Nativity BVM. “We came together as a team and we work well.” Said Mountain View’s Addison Kilmer. “Addison has been doing this for us all year. She’s carried us. She’s gotten so much better since the start of the year.” Said Lady Eagles head coach Billy Simons said. Lily Sedlak and Riley Turner each added 4 for the Lady Eagles. 

After a timeout with the game tied at 2, Mountain View scored the next two baskets to make it 6-2 with baskets by Addison Kilmer and Ryleigh Kilmer. Both team each traded baskets to make it 10-6 at the end of the first quarter.
 

Madison Kramer scored the first basket for Nativity BVM to cut their deficit to 2. Addison Kilmer then scored six straight points. First on a three pointer and a three point play. Kramer hit a free throw for the Golden Girls to make it a seven point deficit but Riley Turner and Addison Kilmer hit baskets just before halftime to make it 20-9 at the break.
 

The Lady Eagles built up their lead and cruised through the second half to take the Single-A District 2/11 Subregional Title with a 36-20 victory over Nativity BVM. Madison Kramer had 11 points for the Golden Girls and Caelin Quick added 4.
