Packers take road victory in opener vs Bears

The Green Bay Packers travel to Chicago to open up the 100th NFL as they renew their rivalry with the Bears. The Bears won the NFC North last season and lost in the Wild Card game to the Eagles last season. The Packers missed the playoffs for the second straight year and are hoping to get back into the playoffs with star QB Aaron Rodgers and new head coach Matt LaFleur.
Both teams would trade punts on the first three possessions. The Bears would start with good field position on their second possession of the game. David Montgomery would get 6 yards on second and 6 but they would settle for a 38 yard field goal by Eddy Pineiro for a 3-0 Bears lead. Teams would trade punts until the end of the first half when Rodgers had a chance for a hail mary but the throw would fall short as we head to halftime with the Packers leading 7-3 over the Bears.
They would trade punts throughout the third quarter but the Bears would drive to the Packers 33 yard line and faced a fourth and 10 and QB Mitch Trubisky would get stopped for three yards and a turnover on downs late in the third quarter. The Packers and Bears would once again trade punts. On third and 1, Trubisky would find Cohen for 5 to the 16 yard line.
