Curtis Tokach drew a one out walk but the courtesy runner would end getting out while trying to steal 2nd base to end the top of the second. Things got interesting in the bottom of the 2nd as Ryan Dougalas and Nick Cerep each drew two out walks but a groundout to third ended the threat. Jimmy Albee then singled and Kindler would score when the throw from the outfield was overthrown to make 6-0 Crestwood. The bottom of the 6th started with Matt Monaghan getting hit by a pitch but on the next batter, Kozich then lined out to second and Monaghan was off the base and Darden threw to second for the double play then a strikeout ended the 6th. Dave Ceklosky came in to pitch for the Crusaders in the 7th. Derek Distasio led off the 7th with a single, then pinch hitter Anthony Kovalchik hit a slow rolling ground ball that moved Distasio to third and Kovalchik to second. James Graves then brought home Distasio on a single to make it 7-0. After a groundout to move Graves and Kovalchik to second and third, Tim Kindler doubled to right to score Graves and Kovalchik to make it 9-0. Jacob Lupas would reach on an error with 1 out but Albee struck out the next batter then Tim Kindler ended the game with a diving catch in left and the Comets snapped their 5 game losing streak to take the victory 9-0.
Thoughts on the game: Great game by Jimmy Albee, who made his first varsity start. Throwing a 2 hitter, striking out 3. Tim Kindler has been possibly been the best player this week for Crestwood, having another 3 hit game. Crestwood overall hit well today, after getting shutout by Chase Nowak the first league game of the season, hit him pretty well.
